They are expecting a nice time but will soon find out it's not so nice at all.

The characters arrive on Indian Island.
A strange poem stood above the fire place about ten indians.
Chapter 3
They are all accused of killing someone from an unheard-of voice.
They see ten indian statues on the dinning table.
Chapter 4
Anthony Marston was killed by a drink of scotch.
Anthony killed to kids by driving his car too recklessly.
Chapter 5
One of the indians on the table is missing after Marston dies.
Vera Claythorne allowed Cyril to die by not attempting to save him.
Chapter 6
Dr. Armstrong operated on a woman while being drunk and ended up killing her.

Vera and Emily walk together and search for the boat, but they don't find one.

Chapter 8
Blore infers that there is indeed a lunatic murderer on the island.
While the men are looking in the house, they hear somebody in the attic.
Chapter 9
General Macarthur is found dead with a blow to his head.
Another one of the eight remaining indians disapears as soon as they find Macarthur dead.
Chapter 10
All of the remaining characters start discussing which one of them is the murderer.
Justice Wargrave holds a court were they begin to see if they can rule any one person who is the murderer.
Chapter 11
Mr. Rogers Is missing in the morning . The group goes out to look for him and fins him cut into pieces by an axe.
Vera Claythorne finds that there are only six remaining indian statues right after Rogers dies.
Chapter 12
Emily Brent goes up to her room and sees bee circling around the window.
She is then stabbed with syringe filled with the same poison that Marston was killed by.
Chapter 13
Vera goes into her room to take a bath because she has a bad headache. She feels a cold, clammy touch on her neck and starts to scream.
The group goes upstairs and then finds Wargrave dead with a hole in his head and a wig on. Did they find him upstairs? When they heard the gun shot, didn't they all run down to the living room?
Chapter 14
lombard's revolver is stolen from his drawer and is then found in the exact same place where it was stolen from.
Blore hears footsteps coming from outside of his door and then finds that there are only three indians remaining.
Vera Claythorne does not like the look of the big, black, hook that is in her room on the ceiling.
Chapter 15
Vera and Lombard find Blore's body crushed by a bear that is made out of marble. They for sure think that Armstrong is the killer.
Right after that, Armstrong is found drowned and wedged between two rocks off of the cliff.
Chapter 16
Lombard thinks that Vera is the killer and Vera thinks that Lombard is the killer. They are the last two on the island.
As they are pulling Armstrong's body from the water, Vera takes Lombard's gun and shoots him.
Epilogue
Sir Thomas Legge and Maine are the detectives
By the end, they can not figure out who was killed

Wargrave cast a bottle out to sea and a fisherman finds it.
It says that he killed everybody and how he did it.
It also said how he was going to die and why he killed himself.
He killed himself because he had a disease that was going to kill him soon.
And what event would you say was the climax? When did the story take a turn?

These show suspense because they are sudden, shocking, and unexpected moments in the book that make you want to keep reading. These keep you reading because it is common for a person to want to know what happens if something is exiting. Some of these sentences give us a glimpse of what might happen; this is called foreshadowing. In sentence #4, it tells us that there is something going on with Indian Island that is strange and mysterious. In sentence #2 it says,"there is something wrong with him", which tells us that something to do with that person might effect the story in a huge way.

10/19/2010 how does a mystery novel differ from a narrative? I think that a mystery is different than a narrative because it is normally not told by the person who is going through something but it is told by and author about somebody else. Mysteries a lot of the time have questions that need to be answered in the story. They are trying to figure out something.
how might the title be a clue to the story? I think that the title is giving a clue away about some sort of disappearance or maybe a death of somebody.
